The Pennsylvania College of Technology archery team made a strong showing at the Eastern Regional Intercollegiate Archery Championships this past weekend. Freshmen Brandon Allison (Roaring Spring) and Kelvin Dewalt (Easton) and senior Zack Plannick (Coraopolis) took top spots in men's recurve, bow hunter and compound, respectively.
Penn College junior Garrett Hornung (Emporium) was named the Penn State University Athletic Conference Baseball Player of the Week for the period ending April 17. Hornung hit .636 (7-11) with three doubles, five RBI and 10 runs. He helped the Wildcats to a 3-1 week, sweeping Penn State York and splitting with Penn State Mont Alto. This is Hornung's first PSUAC honor this season.
The Penn College baseball team honored its four graduating seniors at Sunday's doubleheader against Penn State York. Ethan Boyd, Brett Braker, Ryan Herrmann and Ryan Weachock stood in front of family and friends during a small presentation prior to the start of the first game.

Weather-related postponements have made for a busy final two weeks of the regular season for Pennsylvania College of Technology baseball and softball teams as they strive to qualify for the Penn State University Athletic Conference playoffs April 29-30, as both teams have at least a dozen games to get in.
The Penn College softball team honored its six graduating seniors Thursday at the team's doubleheader against Penn State Mont Alto. In one of the sunniest days of the season, Erin Bannon, Tiffany Diehm, Amber Eck, Michelle Goodling, Trisha Moser and Amanda Reedy were celebrated for their hard work and accomplishments in their tenures on the team.

For the second week in a row, all Pennsylvania College of Technology baseball and softball games were postponed due to inclement weather, but the Wildcats hit the jackpot as men's basketball player Leroy Joiner was named the Penn State University Athletic Conference Player of the Year.
The Penn State University Athletic Conference named Penn College junior Leroy Joiner (Williamsport) as its men's basketball Player of the Year. The honor is voted on by all the PSUAC coaches. Joiner led the Wildcats in scoring and rebounding, averaging 21.5 points and 11.7 rebounds. He also was named a United States Collegiate Athletic Association All-American for the third straight year.
Penn College sophomore Kierstin Steer (South Williamsport) and freshman Tosha Stover (Bellefonte) earned Penn State University Athletic Conference women's basketball honors Thursday. Steer was named an All-Conference selection, while Stover was an honorable mention. The All-Conference team is comprised of top players from the PSUAC voted on by conference officials.
