The Penn College softball team honored its six graduating seniors Thursday at the team's doubleheader against Penn State Mont Alto. In one of the sunniest days of the season, Erin Bannon, Tiffany Diehm, Amber Eck, Michelle Goodling, Trisha Moser and Amanda Reedy were celebrated for their hard work and accomplishments in their tenures on the team. Bannon, a health information technology major from Williamsport, is a three-year player for the Wildcats. Coach Roger Harris spoke of her dedication to the team and her knack for swinging at every pitch. Tiffany Diehm, a nursing major from Mohnton, is a four-year starter and was honored as a great asset, both as a captain and player. Amber Eck, an applied health studies:surgical technology concentration major from Williamsport, is in her first and last year, although she has been playing and leading by example as if she has been on the team for years. Michelle Goodling, a forest technology major from Renovo, has played for two years. The coach praised her attitude and hustle, which have not only been assets to herself, but to her team and coaches. Trisha Moser, a nursing major from Watsontown, is a four-year starter and is the other captain. Her dedication to the team has never wavered, even when she had a swollen-shut eye. Amanda Reedy, an electrical technology major from Burnham, is another first-year player. Harris said he was impressed by her attitude and expectations, and know they will take her far.Photo by Jami L. Hughes, coordinator of intercollegiate athletics and sports information
