Chef Amanda Farr-Lepper joined the Pennsylvania College of Technology as full-time faculty in 2024. Prior to this, she worked in the industry for 24 years, and taught Culinary Arts at the secondary level for 16 years. During this time, she served as adjunct faculty for the College for seven years in the Baking & Pastry Arts Program. Her industry experience includes private clubs, restaurants, hotels, catering, and food trucks.
An alumnus of Pennsylvania College of Technology, Chef Amanda earned her A.A.S. in Baking & Pastry Arts, A.A.S. in Culinary Arts, and B.S. in Business Technology Management before continuing on to complete her Masters in Educational Development & Strategies from Wilkes University. Chef Amanda also earned her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Wilkes University with a concentration in curriculum and instruction, and educational leadership studies. Amanda was honored as a 2020 Pennsylvania Teacher of the Year finalist.
Born and raised on a dairy farm in rural Pennsylvania, Chef Amanda has a keen understanding and respect for sustainability and farm to table foods. She is very active with a local non-profit educational farm and local farmers, using these relationships to help educate students and adults about sustainable practices.
