Summer Maker Mission

The Summer Maker Mission is a three-day exploration of hands-on creative techniques and projects using blends of traditional and new technology such as woodworking tools, 3D printers, laser engravers/cutters, vinyl cutters, computers, and machine tools. Students will make various projects with the technologies available in the Dr. Welch Workshop using materials supplied, guided by the staff who will show participants how to use the many resources and equipment within the Makerspace.

Here's how it works:

Here's how it works:

  • Complete a Summer Camp during the summer before entering 9-12 grade.
  • Or better yet, come for two Summer Camps. Pick a different program the second time around or come for the same one twice. Each year we mix things up.
  • Attend Penn College and receive $1,000 off your tuition each year if you came for one program.
  • Or, get $2,000 off your tuition each year if you join us for two programs.
