The Pennsylvania College of Technology Athletics Department has elevated head baseball coach Christopher H. Howard to full time starting in the 2014-15 academic year. The coaching position is the first of three being changed for the upcoming year.

All 250 available seats have been sold for the Penn State Coaches Caravan event at Penn College on Tuesday, May 20. The luncheon, set for the Field House on the college's main campus, is one of 17 visits by Nittany Lion head football coach James Franklin and others.

Pennsylvania College of Technology’s first men’s tennis team is set to take to the court Tuesday at Baptist Bible College and coach Robert Kemrer is counting on three returning starters from what previously had been a co-ed team to lead the way. Opening at No. 1 and No. 2 singles for the Wildcats will be either Nathan Scott, of Canton, Conn., or Jordan Rodgers, of Biglerville.

Jessica Gmerek Zachary Buterbaugh Junior baseball player Zachary Buterbaugh, of Conestoga, and freshman softball player Jessica Gmerek, of Bellefonte, were named Penn State University Athletic Conference "Hitters of the Week" for the period ending March 16.  As both players competed for their respective teams during a Spring Break tournament in Myrtle Beach, S.C., Buterbaugh hit an impressive .57

Over the past week for Pennsylvania College of Technology athletes, the wrestling season came to an end and the baseball and softball seasons began. Wrestling Sophomore Dan Frankenfield, of Dushore, finished 4-2 in the 174-pound weight class to lead Penn College wrestlers at the National Collegiate Wrestling Association National Championships in Allen, Texas, Thursday through Saturday.

With the women’s softball season about to begin, six wrestlers headed for national championships and baseball and archery seasons underway, it is a busy time for Pennsylvania College of Technology athletes.
