Students from more than a dozen schools will test their mettle in a variety of events at the Mid-Atlantic Horticulture/Landscape Field Day, which Pennsylvania College of Technology will host on Saturday, April 7, at its Earth Science Center campus near Allenwood.

Prepare for a ride around the world as Pennsylvania College of Technology celebrates International Week, March 25-31. Participants will gain a global perspective and an appreciation of other cultures through a variety of events and activities.

A team of five Pennsylvania College of Technology students from the College's School of Construction and Design Technologies finished third recently in a residential-construction competition organized by the National Association of Home Builders. The two-day event, which was held in Atlanta, featured competitions for students in secondary schools and two- and four-year college programs.

"Women in the Trades and Technology" will be the topic of a brown-bag lunch presentation being offered at noon Wednesday, March 21, at the Pennsylvania College of Technology Library. Dr. Mary A.

Students at Pennsylvania College of Technology will be able to meet informally with approximately 125 employers participating in "Career Expo" and "Career Fair" events on Thursday, March 22, at the College's main campus in Williamsport and the Earth Science Center near Allenwood. More than 100 firms will have representatives at "Career Expo 2001," scheduled for 1 to 4 p.m.

Pennsylvania College of Technology received awards in national competitions recently for a marketing brochure, its quarterly magazine and its television cooking series on PBS. "Admissions Marketing Report," the national newspaper of admissions marketing, honored Penn College with two awards in the 16th Annual Admissions Advertising Awards competition.

Pennsylvania College of Technology was named "School of the Year" recently by the Central Atlantic Affiliate of College and University Residence Halls. Penn College prevailed over three other nominees − the University of Delaware, Kutztown University and LaSalle University − for the award.

Campus tours, helpful information sessions and a variety of fun activities await participants in the annual spring Open House event planned for Sunday, March 25, at Pennsylvania College of Technology. Demonstrations and displays will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and general-information sessions for future students will be offered from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Products and services with a "green" orientation will be on display at the Green Building Fair, scheduled for March 30-31 at Pennsylvania College of Technology. Nearly 50 exhibitors and professionals will offer displays during the event, which will be held at Penn College's Field House from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, March 30, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 31.

Renowned illusionist Andr Kole, who has performed for millions of people through live and televised shows in the United States and 75 other countries, will present his "Magical Spectacular" on Monday, March 26, at Pennsylvania College of Technology. The program, scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
