S tate Rep. Brett O. Feese, R-84th District, has been appointed to the Pennsylvania College of Technology Board of Directors, replacing Rep. Thomas W. Dempsey, who retired from his seat in the state House of Representatives this year.
Feese, who has served in the state House since 1995, was appointed by House Speaker Matthew J. Ryan.
The legislative act that formally established Pennsylvania College of Technology (the former Williamsport Area Community College) as a special-mission affiliate of The Pennsylvania State University in 1989, calls for a state senator and state representative to serve on the board. State Sen. Roger A. Madigan, R-23rd District, is the other legislator serving in that capacity.
"I look forward to serving on the board of one of Pennsylvania's most prestigious technical colleges," Feese said. "Pennsylvania College of Technology has provided thousands of students with the education needed to succeed in today's job market. This appointment will give me the opportunity to help carry on that record of success."
Feese is a graduate of Montoursville Area High School, Indiana University of Pennsylvania and Dickinson School of Law.
In addition to the two legislators, the Penn College Board consists of three members from the local community and six members appointed by the Corporation for Penn State.
