Pennsylvania College of Technology presented achievement awards to students graduating in commencement ceremonies held May 19 at the Community Arts Center in Williamsport. The award winners, their addresses and academic majors are: President's Award, for leadership and service to the College Community: Brandon Jason Howe, New Oxford, General Studies.
Creative crafts, cooking, physical activities, indoor and outdoor games, and daylong field trips with new themes each week will be among the highlights at the "Summer Youth Adventure Camp 2001," being offered June 11 through Aug. 2 at Pennsylvania College of Technology.
Pennsylvania College of Technology recently presented its Distinguished Staff Awards and a Part-Time Teaching Excellence Award, while also honoring retirees and the newest members of the College's "Quarter Century Club." The honors were bestowed Thursday, May 17, in ceremonies at Penn's Inn in the Alvin C. Bush Campus Center at Penn College.
David W. Conklin of Montoursville has been chosen as Pennsylvania College of Technology's "Outstanding Alumnus" for 2001. Conklin received the award, which is presented by the Penn College Foundation and the Alumni Association, during commencement ceremonies held Saturday, May 19, at the Community Arts Center in Williamsport. Conklin is the president of C&I Boiler Repair Co. in Montoursville.
Faculty members in biology and business administration were the recipients of the "Excellence in Teaching" awards presented by Pennsylvania College of Technology at commencement ceremonies held Saturday, May 19, at the Community Arts Center. The 2001 awards went to Ann Marie Furdock of South Williamsport, an associate professor of biology, and Dr. Irwin H.

A nursing scholarship and commencement award have been established that will memorialize a former director of nursing at Pennsylvania College of Technology. The Linda F. Clark BS, RN Memorial Nursing Commencement and Scholarship Fund is being established by Dr. William B. Urosevich, associate professor of biology (anatomy/physiology) at Penn College.
In Fall 2001, Pennsylvania College of Technology will implement a new procedure for using College-owned computers and for connecting to the campus network. Next fall, everyone ( students and employees) will be required to enter a user ID and password in order to access any shared resources, such as network printers, server storage space and the Internet, or to use some lab computers.
