Four area residents have been appointed to serve on the North Campus Advisory Committee at Pennsylvania College of Technology's North Campus near Wellsboro, Dr. Ted Nichols, assistant dean for the North Campus, announced.
The appointees are:
Arline M. Buckman, Wellsboro, who holds bachelor's and master's degrees and a certificate of advanced study from Johns Hopkins University. She retired recently from the Baltimore City School District, where she taught nursing, health and technical math. Buckman has been active in the High Schools That Work program and the Vocational Industrial Clubs of America, having served as site coordinator for the SkillsUSA VICA Regional Championships.
John Kravas, Wellsboro, who serves as administrator for the Tioga County Human Services Agency. Kravas holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from Mansfield University, a master's degree in public administration from Marywood University and has completed advanced studies for senior executives in state and local government at Harvard University. Kravas has served as an adjunct faculty member, teaching courses in human services at the North Campus since 1989.
Carl Penziul, Corning, N.Y., who holds bachelor's and master's degrees in mathematics from State University of New York Buffalo and a certificate in information processing from the Advanced Training Center in Buffalo. Penziul was a secondary-school math teacher and professor of computer information science at Corning Community College, where he was recognized with local and state awards for excellence in teaching. He is currently developing Internet and intranet business solutions as a technical trainer and senior project manager with 4net Software, Inc., Elmira, N.Y.
Jack Shaw, Mansfield, who is a retired educator and school superintendent. Shaw currently serves as executive director of the Pennsylvania Association of School Personnel Administrators.

James Dunham, Wellsboro; Charles James, Westfield; Tina Foulkrod, Liberty; William Cook, Mansfield; Richard Heyler, Gillette; William Miller, Mansfield; John Dugan, Wellsboro; Helene Nawrocki, Genesee; James Prevost, Wellsboro; Bill Williams, Blossburg; F. David Pennypacker, Wellsboro; David Rundell, Mansfield; and Mary Worthington, Wellsboro.
