As far as Wes Strayer, coach of the Pennsylvania College of Technology men's volleyball team, is concerned, there is just one thing his players have to do to claim a league championship on Saturday: pick up their game a notch. The Wildcats earned the top seed in the tourney they are hosting at Bardo Gym by going 14-1 during the Eastern Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference regular season.

Pennsylvania College of Technology's student chapter of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers will host a Student Professional Awareness Conference at the college on April 22. The conference, which is planned for 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Klump Academic Center auditorium, will include national and local speakers.

After winning at district competition, a team of Pennsylvania College of Technology students earned a spot in the ISA International Student Games to be held in Chicago in October. The students, enrolled in electronics technology and electronics engineering technology majors, are members of the student chapter of the Instrumentation, Systems and Automation Society at Penn College.

Two students from Pennsylvania College of Technology presented a lecture at the annual conference of the Pennsylvania Association of Two Year Colleges, held April 7-8 in Pittsburgh. Todd P. Kennedy, Abbottstown, and Brad A.

The Student Government Association will offer its Spring Educational Program at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, in Penn's Inn. The presenter will be Patrick Combs, a rapidly rising star in the corporate world. This presentation will touch on teaching initiative, fueling passion and improving productivity.

The team working at The Village was crowned the winner of this past weekend's "Monster Hut" competition, which concluded Sunday with an awards ceremony in the Professional Development Center courtyard. Team members were Matthew Divok, Steven Zomerfeld III, David Harrington, Jason Maddox, David Baker, Curtis Graf and faculty adviser Clifford Jones. The winning team received prizes from Marc E.

More than 200 runners and walkers participated in a 5K race on April 9 to benefit the Allyson Wilgar-Jones Memorial Scholarship Fund. The event was held on the Penn College campus and was organized by college nursing faculty, who have formed the Allyson Wilgar-Jones Scholarship Committee.

"Making our town your town" is the slogan for the new College Town Web site, developed by college students in the Williamsport area, working as part of the Williamsport-Lycoming Chamber of Commerce College Town Committee.
