The Student Government Association at Pennsylvania College of Technology will host its annual Silent Auction on Friday, April 26, to benefit the Student Leader Legacy Scholarship Fund. The auction will be from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on the first floor of Madigan Library.

An engine that requires no search, this brightly colored Caterpillar equipment stands out in landmark surroundings. Representative of both a bedrock academic program and an enduring corporate partnership, a Caterpillar 3208 industrial diesel engine has become part of the decor in Penn College's Madigan Library.

Delivering a dose of color and curiosity to The Gallery at Penn College are artist Abraham Ferraro’s mailable sculptures and interactive installations. The exhibition, titled “Every Which Way,” will run March 19 through April 18 in the gallery, on the third floor of Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Madigan Library. A closing reception will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

In only six months as a participant in the state’s PA Forward program, Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Madigan Library has reached – and transcended – Bronze Level status to earn the first of five Silver Stars on the basis of a recent professional-development event.

Highlighting Pennsylvania libraries and their role in powering progress throughout the commonwealth, the Pennsylvania Library Association announced the January rollout of the PA Forward Star Library Program during its annual state conference earlier this month. Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Madigan Library is among the participants in next year’s statewide launch of the initiative.

Tracey Amey has been appointed director of The Madigan Library at Pennsylvania College of Technology. Amey began her duties in January. Previously, she was employed as librarian for access initiatives at the college. “Tracey will bring expertise, leadership and vision to our library, and we look forward to great things under her leadership,” said Penn College President Davie Jane Gilmour.
