The artistic talents of 21 graphic design seniors at Pennsylvania College of Technology will be showcased in “Graphic Design 2021,” the annual student portfolio exhibition in The Gallery at Penn College. Running April 26 through May 7, the exhibit can be viewed in person at the gallery, which is open 2 to 8 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays.

An attractively arrayed table provides food for thought – and snacks, too! The program's five foundational literacies, and the ways in which Madigan Library incorporates them into its service to the community, are a keystone of the entranceway display.

The librarian for information technology initiatives at Pennsylvania College of Technology has written one of 13 accepted chapters in the American Library Association’s “Technical Services in the 21st Century,” spotlighting the substantial behind-the-scenes work that allows students to seamlessly access scholarly digital material.

Penn College is spotlighted in a fresh post to Infobase's website, which features an interview with Madigan Library's Jessica U. Oberlin. The library subscribes to the company's Films on Demand database, offering instructional access to streaming videos from such acclaimed networks as PBS, National Geographic and the BBC.

A color rendering of the Hager Lifelong Education Center’s “loop” previews a now-familiar vantage from West Third Street. The drawing was provided to the archives by late administrator William Homisak. A caddy for electronic tubes harks back to when TVs were too cumbersome to be repaired off-site, so technicians carried the tubes on house calls.

A fascination with abandoned buildings and landscapes inspired Enola resident Michael Hower to begin working in digital photography seven years ago. His current body of work, “Graffiti Scapes,” focusing on ghost towns of the Mid-Atlantic, is on display at The Gallery at Penn College now through Oct. 6.
