Instructional Technology & Distance Learning announces a new model for faculty interested in using instructional technology. Beginning with the Summer Technology Camp and throughout the summer, ITDL will begin a series of technology-orientated professional-development opportunities.

For the second consecutive year, Max E. Ameigh, part-time instructor of advertising art/ceramics at Pennsylvania College of Technology, will be honored in "Who's Who Among America's Teachers." Ameigh's biography will appear in the 10th edition of the book. He was also honored in the ninth edition, published in 2005. Teachers who are honored in the book have been nominated by a former student.

Regis C. Kohler, associate professor of radiography at Pennsylvania College of Technology, will be honored in "Who's Who Among America's Teachers." Kohler's biography will appear in the 10th edition of the book, to be published later this year. This is the second time Kohler has earned the recognition. Teachers who are honored in the book have been nominated by a former student.

A Pennsylvania College of Technology faculty member was one of the winners of a special judging for a Daily Point of Light Award presented during National Volunteer Week. LaRue R. Reese, of Wellsboro, an assistant professor of human services/social sciences, received the award for April 24.

Mark A. Paternostro, associate vice president for academic services at Pennsylvania College of Technology, will be honored for the third consecutive year in "Who's Who Among America's Teachers." Paternostro's biography will appear in the 10th edition of the book, to be published later this year, and also appeared in the book's eighth and ninth editions.

As we prepare for the start of another busy academic year, the Human Resources Office reminds all Penn College employees of the referral bonus program in the Food Services department. Since the program started in the summer of 2000, Food Services has hired 25 people as a result of recommendations from college employees.
