Henriette K. Evans, an Act 101 Academic and Career Specialist in the Office of Academic Support Services at Pennsylvania College of Technology, has been elected the Northeast Regional Representative to the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Association of Developmental Educators for 2005-07.

Two new program directors, Shawn A. Kiser and Joseph Mileto Jr., have been named in Pennsylvania College of Technology's School of Health Sciences. Kiser, formerly the coordinator of dental hygiene at the college, has been promoted to director of dental hygiene.

Pennsylvania College of Technology and Caterpillar Inc. have presented the third annual "Pathfinder to Excellence" faculty award to an instructor of diesel equipment technology. David C. Johnson was presented with the award during a recent gathering of Caterpillar officials and dealers − several Penn College alumni among them − in the college's Professional Development Center.

Alfred M. Thomas, an associate professor of collision repair at Pennsylvania College of Technology, recently earned the professional designation of Certified Collision Repair Manager from the Masters School of Autobody Management in Santa Barbara, Calif.

Steven H. Wallace, a U.S. Military Academy graduate with more than 11 years of experience in higher-education administration, has been named Pennsylvania College of Technology's first-ever assistant dean of transportation technology.

The initiative calls for all staff to participate ineight hours of annual job-focused professional development. During the annual appraisal, staff are to discuss with their supervisors plans for professional-development activities.

Jeannette L. Fraser, director of the Outreach for K-12 Office at Pennsylvania College of Technology, has been named director of the Legislative and Public Policy Committee for the National Association for Tech Prep Leadership. NATPL's membership includes regional Tech Prep coordinators and state Tech Prep directors from around the country.

A recent award for Pennsylvania College of Technology's support of Williamsport's Flag Day march has been presented to the General Services department for its maintenance of the "Flags Across America" site that now serves as the annual event's destination. The honor was one of three "Tony Awards" presented this year by Anthony L.

Kathleen E. Morr recently was promoted to dean of health sciences at Pennsylvania College of Technology. Previously, Morr served as assistant to the dean of health sciences and director of dental hygiene at Penn College.
