Robert C. Dietrich has been named executive director of the Pennsylvania College of Technology Foundation.
Established in 1981, the foundation is a nonprofit organization that seeks to secure financial and other support for the college. The foundation's activities include providing student scholarships and other financial assistance, fundraising, and general promotion of the college.
"We are pleased to have Robb join the Institutional Advancement Office at Penn College as the new executive director of our foundation," said Barry R. Stiger, vice president for institutional advancement. "We look forward to Robb sharing his past experiences with us so that we can continue to develop and grow scholarship opportunities for our students."
Dietrich comes to Penn College from Lycoming County United Way, where he had been director of resource development and communications since June 2005. Prior to that, he was sports information director for Lycoming College (2000-05) and sports information assistant for Westminster College, New Wilmington (1995-99).
While employed at Lycoming College, he also served as official scorekeeper for the Williamsport Crosscutters of the New York-Penn League.
Dietrich received a bachelor's degree in business administration from Westminster College in 1999. He is a graduate of Leadership Lycoming, and he serves as vice president of the Williamsport Young Professionals.
