More than 80 Airframe and Powerplant mechanics attended a nine-hour Inspection Authorization Renewal seminar held Saturday at Penn College's Lumley Aviation Center in Montoursville. The Federal Aviation Administration requires aircraft mechanics holding inspection authorization credentials to receive several hours of training each year.

The Pennsylvania College of Technology Foundation's recent dinner auction set a new record for funds raised at the biennial event. Robb C. Dietrich, executive director of the Penn College Foundation, said more than $58,000 was raised at the event. He said the total was about $4,000 more than the amount raised at the last dinner auction in 2008.
A Tuesday afternoon gallery talk and an evening Meet the Artist reception formally opened "I Am," artwork by Antonio Puri that will be exhibited on the third floor of the Madigan Library through Nov. 7.
