Pennsylvania College of Technology alumnus Alfonse Ciaccio will return to The Gallery at Penn College on Oct. 10 to present "Music of the Modern Masters." Ciaccio, a 1993 graduate, will perform at 1:30 p.m. as part of the gallery's "In Perfect Harmony" concert series.

Penn College, once again included on the list of G.I. Jobs' "Military Friendly Schools" this year, was represented at Friday's Veterans & Military Personnel Resource Fair at the Community Arts Center. Sponsored by state Rep. Rick Mirabito (a member of the college's board of directors), the 9-a.m.-to-2-p.m.

An estimated 400 families took part in Parent & Family Weekend, held Friday through Sunday on Penn College's main campus. The Wildcat women's volleyball team thanks everyone who came to its Pink-Out Tie-Dye event Monday night. With the help of Field House staff (including Angel V. Stroud, Lisa J. Worth and Jeremy R. Bottorf), and equipment supplied by Penn College General Services, the rear storage area of the building was transformed into a tie-dye party.

Plastics SourceNet will bring together key leaders, stakeholders and supporters of Pennsylvania's plastics industry during its Symposium 2010, scheduled for Oct. 14-15 at Pennsylvania College of Technology. The event, "A Decade of New Opportunities," includes two specialized tracks: Sustainability or Industry and University Collaboration.

Pennsylvania College of Technology will host Austrian wine expert Andreas Wickhoff on campus Oct. 27 to work with classes in the School of Hospitality and to present "An Austrian Wine and Food Tasting" to the public to benefit the college's international student programs.

The Construction Management Association held its annual Hog Bash on Thursday, serving up a free meal of pulled-pork sandwiches, cole slaw, chips, soda and bottled water to an appreciative Field House assembly.
