The sixth annual Women In Sports Day was held Sunday, as current and prospective Penn College female athletes, coaches, athletic staff and campus administrators gathered in Penn's Inn for an inspirational address by featured speaker Lindsey K. Fackler.

Pennsylvania College of Technology welcomed prospective students, their families and friends to an informative and enjoyable Spring Open House on March 26.

Pennsylvania College of Technology students and alumni looking for postgraduate jobs or valuable internships networked with scores of employers at the Spring 2010 Career Fair, held March 24 and/or 25 in Penn's Inn, the Schneebeli Earth Science Center and the Lumley Aviation Center.

A gallery talk and artist's reception were held at Penn College on Thursday in conjunction with "Paintings," a series of "hyperrealistic" New York City street scenes by Denis Peterson. The exhibit, at The Gallery at Penn College on the third floor of Madigan Library, will run through April 20. The gallery is open 1-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday; 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday; and 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

A talent show emceed by Xclusive, whose robotic dancing was a hit during the 2008 season of "America's Got Talent" gave Penn College students the opportunity to share their gifts Thursday night and win a share of the cash prizes. The event, held in Penn's Inn, was sponsored by the Wildcat Events Board.

Pennsylvania College of Technology's North Campus, located just east of Wellsboro, will host an open house on Monday, April 18, for those interested in nursing as a career. The event, to be offered from 5 to 7 p.m., will feature information sessions about the application process, tuition and financial aid.

A March 31 concert on Pennsylvania College of Technology's main campus in Williamsport will benefit a scholarship fund memorializing a dental hygiene major and student leader. The band Parlance will headline the concert, which is sponsored by Campus Crusade for Christ. It will be held at 7 p.m. on the lawn outside the college's Thompson Professional Development Center.

Nearly 110 employers were at Penn College's Career Fair on Tuesday, visiting main campus and the Schneebeli Earth Science Center to offer students and alumni an incredible networking opportunity for more than 1,250 full- and part-time jobs and internships. Pennsylvania College of Technology's School of Construction and Design Technologies hosted architecture students from The Pennsylvania State University on Monday, as masonry students schooled the University Park contingent in the hands-on consequences of building design.

The Pennsylvania College of Technology chapters for three honor societies held induction ceremonies on March 19, honoring 93 new members for their academic achievement. Phi Theta Kappa Sixty-one students were inducted into the college's Beta Epsilon Upsilon Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, an international honor society for students enrolled in two-year academic majors.
