Artist's Singular Realism Draws Double Takes at Gallery Opening

Artist Denis Peterson during gallery remarks 'Fashion Avenue' 'Wild Rose' and 'Dust to Dust' 'Indiana in New York' Patrons take a closer lookA gallery talk and artist's reception were held at Penn College on Thursday in conjunction with "Paintings," a series of "hyperrealistic" New York City street scenes by Denis Peterson. The exhibit, at The Gallery at Penn College on the third floor of Madigan Library, will run through April 20. The gallery is open 1-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday; 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday; and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday and Friday. All exhibits are free and open to the public.
