Congratulations to Brett A. Reasner, assistant dean of natural resources management, and daughter Samantha for winning the One College Club's inaugural Chili Cook-Off at Le Jeune Chef Restaurant on Tuesday evening. Their winning recipe, Hunter's Chili, was a delectable combination of ground venison and hot Italian sausage with whole peeled tomatoes, black beans and chipotle peppers.

Rocky Fino, celebrity chef and author of "Will Cook for Sex: A Guy's Guide to Cooking," will visit Pennsylvania College of Technology on Thursday, Feb. 17. Fino will spend the day cooking across campus and interacting with students as part of Sexual Responsibility Week (Feb. 14-18).
Area music lovers were treated to a midwinter night's dream Friday: performances by three bands at Penn College's second annual Cure the Blues Fest in the Field House. Sponsored by the Student Activities Office, the evening offered appearances by the Matt Corey Band, Ann Kerstetter and the All-Star Band of Cronies, and the Chuck Lambert Band.
With nary the need for an "Alohomora" spell, a two-hour reception magically opened the Harry Potter's World exhibit at Penn College's Madigan Library, as attendees some in costume and all awash in music from the Potter movies viewed displays, enjoyed theme-appropriate refreshments and vied for door prizes.
