A fire can have catastrophic effects, such as personal injury and property damage including loss of equipment and facilities. Fire prevention is key to preventing personal injury and protecting college assets. Penn College's Student Government Association recently held its annual canned-food drive, working with many student organizations on campus to collect 741 items for less-fortunate families in the area. All food items are being donated to the American Rescue Workers. SGA thanks all of the organizations and students that helped make this effort such a great success. Happy Holidays!
A Pennsylvania College of Technology student reported being robbed at gunpoint Sunday night in the parking lot of the Student and Administrative Services Center on Hagan Way. The incident, which occurred at 9:30 p.m., was reported to Penn College Police approximately one hour later. A search of the area was conducted; no other evidence was found. The student was not injured.
Penn College Police have arrested a student and charged him with selling prescription drugs at College West Apartments. The student, who has been placed on interim suspension by the college, was charged with one count of felony delivery and arraigned before District Justice Kenneth T. Schriner, who committed him to Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $5,000 bail.
The "Bear Bunch" from the Children's Learning Center attended "Story Time" Tuesday morning at The College Store, where employee Denise Emerick read to them from the book, "Today I Feel Silly & Other Moods That Make My Day," by Jamie Lee Curtis and illustrated by Laura Cornell.
The Residence Life Office has announced recent honors, including the selections of LaNae J. Firster as "Resident Assistant of the Month" and Ashley L. Snyder as "Rising Star RA." Firster, a data communications and networking major from Franklin , is in her third year as a Resident Assistant at the Rose Street Apartments.
