The latest exhibit at the Gallery at Penn College, "ReMix: Wax and the Intuitive Process," opened with a reception from 3:30-7 p.m. Tuesday. The exhibit features three Philadelphia artists David Foss, Michelle Marcuse and Antonio Puri whose work celebrates the continued use and relevance of wax as a contemporary visual-art medium.

A memorial service will be Saturday for Mark E. Meister II, 18, of Sunbury, a Penn College student in the automotive technology/Ford ASSET major who died from injuries suffered in a vehicle crash Sunday night in Upper Augusta Township, Northumberland County. A brick will be placed in his honor in the Remembrance Garden, and Penn College flags were lowered to half-staff.

Information Technology Services announces the rollout of a new spam-filtering system intended to curb the amount of electronic "junk mail" received by employees and students. Beginning Monday, Nov. 6, all incoming e-mail will be filtered through this new system. Suspected spam messages will be held in quarantine on the server.

Penn College's on-campus television channel, PCTV (Channel 78), now features student-produced video programming. "Penn College News and Features," a weekly 30-minute summary of what's going on around campus is airing on the channel. The program features student hosts/reporters Crystal Smeal, Abiel Harry and Adam Miller.

The College Store announces the introduction of a new class-ring program through a partnership with Jostens, the leading class-ring supplier in the country. The ring designs were chosen and approved by Penn College students and the Student Government Association. Class rings are available in two designs, for male or female graduates.

Junior Achievement of Northeastern Pennsylvania is offering a new take on a familiar game, with the release of the Lycomingopoly board game. A great collector's item or gift at a price of $25, the limited-edition games are available at The College Store at Penn College or by contacting Junior Achievement at (570) 489-9474. Proceeds benefit JA programs in Lycoming County schools.

Penn College Police have issued their annual security report, including statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes on campus; in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by Penn College; and on public property within (or immediately adjacent to and accessible from) the campus.

Penn College students can help build scholarship opportunities by recycling their printer cartridges on campus. The recycling program, which recycles inkjet and laser cartridges, as well as empty fax cartridges, started in March. The empty cartridges are sent to the Cartridge World store at 1818 E Third St., and the proceeds are placed in Penn College's general scholarship fund.
