Pennsylvania College of Technology's Paramedic Program has been reaccredited for the next five years by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs.

The faculty/staff and alumni of Pennsylvania College of Technology's School of Natural Resources Management have raised or contributed nearly $22,000 to endow a scholarship fund for students. The School of Natural Resources Management Endowed Scholarship will be awarded beginning in Fall 2005 and twice annually thereafter to a full-time student enrolled in one of the school's majors.

A group of seven Penn College students, along with two faculty members, visited the corporate headquarters of PPL Telcom in Allentown on Wednesday, Nov. 17. The group was hosted by Tony Vasco, regional sales manager, and Charles Boddy, director of marketing.

The Plastics Pioneers Association has awarded $1,500 scholarships to two students enrolled in Pennsylvania College of Technology's Plastics and Polymer Engineering Technology bachelor-degree major. The association awarded 15 scholarships to college students nationwide who are working toward careers in plastics.

More than 300 students have petitioned to graduate in December from Pennsylvania College of Technology, which will hold Winter Commencement ceremonies on Saturday, Dec. 18, at the Community Arts Center in Williamsport. The student speaker for the ceremonies, which begin at 11 a.m., will be Hannah P.

Most of us are familiar with Google's powerful search capabilities. Just enter a subject in the search box and Google will return hundreds, if not thousands, of Web sites containing that word or phrase. However, weeding through those pages to find relevant, credible sources for academic research can be counterproductive.

Frozen turkeys slide Wednesday, toppling soda-bottle "pins" as students at Nature's Cove (ESC) and the Susquehanna Room tried their hand at "Turkey Bowling," sponsored by Food Services and Pepsi. Students who bowled a strike were entered in a grand-prize drawing for a five-CD home stereo system and a wooden dart-board cabinet.
