Moyer, assistant professor of graphic design at Pennsylvania College of Technology, are among artwork exhibited at the 2022 International Contemporary Miniprint of Kazanlak exhibition at the Kazanlak Art Gallery in Bulgaria. A memorial service will be Friday for Patrick D. Murphy, the 1989 recipient of Pennsylvania College of Technology's Master Teacher Award, who died Sunday, Nov. 6, at age 76. Murphy, who retired as an associate professor of graphic design in 2010 after 31 years at Penn College and Williamsport Area Community College, was granted faculty emeritus status by the college's Board of Directors in June.
Bachelor’s degree nursing students are ready to hit the road. The group, enrolled in the course Global Healthcare Explorations, plans to depart campus late Friday evening for a journey to the village of Nueva Santa Rosa, Guatemala. Once there, they will join the Glen Falls (New York) Medical Mission team to set up and run a weeklong medical clinic in the medically underserved region.
Two of the three finalists for "Intern of the Year" at this month's seventh annual Young Professionals Awards ceremony at Lackawanna County's PNC Field – including the ultimate winner – are Pennsylvania College of Technology students. Chosen for the honor was Scott Stout, of Nanticoke, an associate engineer at The AZEK Co., a Chicago-based business with locations in Scranton.
