The Master Teacher Award, the highest honor accorded to a Pennsylvania College of Technology faculty member, was presented Saturday to Chef Paul E.
Some green thumbs will be displayed in Barbara J. Albert's kindergarten class this fall at the Children's Learning Center at Pennsylvania College of Technology, but they won't be the result of any finger-painting activity.
The National Council for Marketing & Public Relations honored Pennsylvania College of Technology recently with three "Paragon Awards" for its television programming and quarterly magazine. The NCMPR Paragon Awards recognize outstanding achievement by communications professionals at two-year and technical colleges. Members can submit entries in large- or small-shop divisions.
Dr. Dennis R. Williams, associate professor of business administration at Pennsylvania College of Technology, has been named a Sam M. Walton Free Enterprise Fellow for the Students in Free Enterprise team at the College.
Pennsylvania College of Technology recently presented its Distinguished Staff Awards and a Part-Time Teaching Excellence Award, while also honoring retirees and the newest members of the College's "Quarter Century Club." The honors were bestowed Thursday, May 17, in ceremonies at Penn's Inn in the Alvin C. Bush Campus Center at Penn College.
Faculty members in biology and business administration were the recipients of the "Excellence in Teaching" awards presented by Pennsylvania College of Technology at commencement ceremonies held Saturday, May 19, at the Community Arts Center. The 2001 awards went to Ann Marie Furdock of South Williamsport, an associate professor of biology, and Dr. Irwin H.
The U.S. State Department has awarded a prestigious Fulbright Scholarship to S. Layne Russell, an attorney and assistant professor of legal studies at Pennsylvania College of Technology, who will use the opportunity to explore a "new legal era" in Slovenia, a country that broke away from the former communist Republic of Yugoslavia in 1991.
Joanna Michelle Treese, food service manager at the Bush Campus Center at Pennsylvania College of Technology, has been chosen to attend a National Association of College and University Food Services Leadership Institute at Russellville, Ark., on June 2-8.
Barbara J. Albert, group leader at the Children's Learning Center at Pennsylvania College of Technology, has been awarded a Terri Lynne Lokoff Child Care Foundation Child Care Teacher Recognition Award for her commitment to quality child care. The honor, which was bestowed April 4 in King of Prussia, includes a $500 grant to the Children's Learning Center for the purchase of a digital camera.
