Pennsylvania College of Technology recently presented its Distinguished Staff Awards and Part-Time Teaching Excellence Awards and recognized retirees and the newest members of the College's Quarter Century Club. The honors were bestowed Wednesday, May 10, in ceremonies at Penn's Inn in the Bush Campus Center.

Vicki K. Killian, a food service manager for Pennsylvania College of Technology, is one of just two candidates chosen from her region to attend a National Association of College and University Food Services management institute.

(A joint release of Pennsylvania College of Technology and the Penn College Education Association) Pennsylvania College of Technology and the Education Association representing the College's faculty have reached an agreement for a three-year contract which becomes effective Aug. 21. The College's Board of Directors approved the agreement at their regular meeting April 13.

Pennsylvania College of Technology was honored recently with six awards in national competitions for marketing.

The School of Business and Computer Technologies at Pennsylvania College of Technology recently bestowed honors upon two faculty members. Phillip D. Landers, professor of business administration, received the 1999 "Distinctive Teaching Award," which is intended to recognize the "best teacher" in the school.

Dr. Edward (Ted) C. Nichols, assistant dean for Pennsylvania College of Technology's North Campus, has been nominated by the Combined Board of County Commissioners for Bradford, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Tioga and Wyoming counties to serve on the regional Workforce Investment Board.

Dennis L. Correll has been named associate dean for institutional advancement at Pennsylvania College of Technology and executive director of the Penn College Foundation. His responsibilities include the solicitation of contributions for scholarships, instructional equipment and other institutional initiatives.

"One College Avenue," Pennsylvania College of Technology's quarterly magazine, has been recognized with an Award for Publication Excellence in a national competition among communications professionals. The publication joined APEX '99 winners selected by Communications Concepts, Inc., a trade group of marketing specialists, and was among the 631 entries in the Magazines and Journals category.

Pennsylvania College of Technology conducted its annual Employee Recognition Week during the week of May 10. A highlight was a special reception honoring recipients of the Distinguished Staff and Part-Time Teaching Excellence Awards, new members of the College's Quarter Century Club, and retirees.
