The honor was one of three "Tony Awards" presented this year by Anthony L.
Kathleen E. Morr recently was promoted to dean of health sciences at Pennsylvania College of Technology. Previously, Morr served as assistant to the dean of health sciences and director of dental hygiene at Penn College.

A married couple who teach nursing at Pennsylvania College of Technology presented lectures recently at Drexel University National Education Institute. Janet and Matthew P. McMahon were "Distinguished Faculty" at the conference, held June 3-5 in Atlantic City, N.J. Janet McMahon is an associate professor of nursing at Penn College.
Mark A. Trueman, a faculty member in the paramedic program at Pennsylvania College of Technology, was named "Instructor of the Year" for Lycoming County by the Lycoming County Department of Public Safety. According to the tribute presented by Wendy S.
David L. Evans, professor of biology at Pennsylvania College of Technology, is writing a weekly column for one publisher and has written several chapters in a textbook for another. In addition, his biography will be included in an edition of "Who's Who in Executives and Professionals." Evans was hired by Dushkin publishers to write a weekly column about homeland security.
Clifford P. Coppersmith, assistant dean of the School of Integrated Studies at Pennsylvania College of Technology, recently was honored by Jamestown Community College as a distinguished alumnus. Every year, Jamestown Community College selects alumni who have made major contributions in public service and in their professions.
Terry A. Girdon, professor of business administration at Pennsylvania College of Technology, has been elected vice chair of the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education's Board of Commissioners.
The Master Teacher Award, the highest level of recognition given to a Pennsylvania College of Technology faculty member, was presented Saturday to Irwin H. Siegel, associate professor of business administration/business law in the School of Business and Computer Technologies. Siegel received the award during commencement ceremonies at the Community Arts Center in Williamsport.
Timothy J. Mallery, director of residence life, has been recognized by the Williamsport-Lycoming Chamber of Commerce and Our Towns 2010 for "going the extra mile" in providing exceptional customer service. "Tim is not only the director, but he goes out of his way to see that the students are taken care of − if he has to do it himself," his nominator wrote. "Tim relates to the students very well.
