Officials of the Central Pennsylvania Regional School-to-Work Committee will sponsor a unique mini-conference "Super Teachers Across the Region" Sunday and Monday, Nov. 15-16, at the Genetti Hotel in downtown Williamsport.

"Floral Morning," a colorful landscape print by renowned landscape artist David Seybold, is being offered for sale by the Pennsylvania College of Technology Foundation. College and foundation officials unveiled the print during a reception held Friday, Nov. 13, at Penn College's Thompson Professional Development Center.

Pennsylvania College of Technology will have additional roads to explore, thanks to a new automotive training facility. Among the unique options available to students at the center will be alternative fuel vehicle instruction, motorsports courses and state emission certification. Penn College will dedicate the Advanced Automotive Technology Center during ceremonies set for 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov.

When Pennsylvania College of Technology opens its new Main Campus entrance next fall, the names of many men and women who have been associated with the College during its 85-year history will become part of the entrance walkway.

A Pennsylvania State University alumnus who grew up in the Williamsport area has made a substantial contribution to help fund construction of a new entranceway to the main campus of Pennsylvania College of Technology. The donor, who wishes to remain anonymous, made a gift of $1 million to Penn State and directed approximately $840,500 to the Penn College gateway project.

Pennsylvania College of Technology's North Campus, near Wellsboro, has been designated a Northern Tier partner in a 17-county SkillsNet Internet-Based Training Project. The initiative is being coordinated by Penn College's Technology Transfer Center. The primary goal of SkillsNet is to make Internet-based learning modules available to a diverse population.

Pennsylvania College of Technology is reaching out to individuals interested in exploring nontraditional careers. Through the College's New Choices/New Options and Women in Technologies Trades programming, two individual workshop series are being offered one during the day and the other in the evening. The first will meet Mondays through Fridays, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Nov. 2 through Nov. 25.

A student, administrator and adviser of the physician assistant major at Pennsylvania College of Technology recently were presented awards by the Pennsylvania Society of Physician Assistants for their contributions to the society and the field. Richard Rockwell, a senior physician assistant student from Sayre, received a $500 scholarship.

At Penn College's North Campus:Reunion Set for New Choices/New Options Participants Pennsylvania College of Technology's North Campus in Wellsboro is seeking past participants of the New Choices/New Options program for a reunion on Saturday, Oct. 31.

Dr. William B. Urosevich, associate professor of biology at Pennsylvania College of Technology, has been named the United States Army Reserve Optometry Consultant to the Surgeon General of the Army. Urosevich has been involved in Army optometry since 1983. He was the co-developer of the first Army optometry residency program at West Point.
