A student, administrator and adviser of the physician assistant major at Pennsylvania College of Technology recently were presented awards by the Pennsylvania Society of Physician Assistants for their contributions to the society and the field.
Richard Rockwell, a senior physician assistant student from Sayre, received a $500 scholarship.
Esther Klinger, interim program director and clinical director at Penn College, was awarded a plaque of appreciation for her number of years contributing to the physician assistant program. She has served on the Board of Directors since 1985, was the continuing medical education chairman and edited the state newsletter.
Tom Lemley, a physician assistant from Penn State Geisinger and a member of the Penn College physician assistant advisory board, was recognized as the society's Physician Assistant of the Year.
