Urosevich Named Optometry Consultant to Army Surgeon General

Dr. William B. Urosevich, associate professor of biology at Pennsylvania College of Technology, has been named the United States Army Reserve Optometry Consultant to the Surgeon General of the Army. Urosevich has been involved in Army optometry since 1983. He was the co-developer of the first Army optometry residency program at West Point.
In addition to teaching at Penn College, Urosevich is the senior partner at Urosevich Eye Associates, a primary care optometry practice in Lewisburg, where he resides with his family.
Urosevich earned a bachelor of arts degree in chemistry from Wilkes University in 1976, a master of science in systems management from the University of Southern California in 1979, and a doctor of optometry from Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1983.
Urosevich served in the U.S. Army; his last appointment was as chief of contact lens services at the West Point Military Academy. He holds numerous medals, badges and commendations from his years of active and reserve service.
