A number of Pennsylvania College of Technology faculty and staff recently have been in the news for a variety of accomplishments. James T. Gugino, video engineer/editor, worked as a camera operator with World Sports Enterprises during the recent Pennsylvania 400 and ARCA 200 NASCAR races at Pocono International Raceway. Gugino also provided technical support for in-car cameras.

Larry L. Michael, associate dean for the Technology Transfer Center and Continuing Education at Pennsylvania College of Technology, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Ben Franklin Technology Center of Central and Northern Pennsylvania. Michael has been with Penn College's Technology Transfer Center since 1990.

Following the first full week of fall semester classes, 5,310 full- and part-time students are enrolled in credit classes. This marks an approximate 6-percent increase over last year's record-breaking full- and part-time student headcount of 4,958.
