Pennsylvania College of Technology automotive restoration student Ty M. Tucker and the 1948 Tucker car recently restored by students are in the spotlight with WNEP-TV's "On the Pennsylvania Road." Tucker, the great-great grandson of Preston Tucker, the legendary automotive figure responsible for the car, takes WNEP-TV anchor/reporter Jon Meyer for a spin in this segment, which aired on Wednesday.
Penn College's 2023-24 Impact Report — titled "Moving the Mission Forward" — is available online. The report gives a glimpse of the opportunities realized at Penn College in 2023-24, thanks to the efforts of many. "Pennsylvania College of Technology is an engine of economic development, crafting and adapting curriculum to meet workforce needs since 1914," says Penn College President Michael J. Services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 30, for George Franklin Blett III, a former Pennsylvania College of Technology employee who died on Nov. 23 at the age of 76. Blett served as coordinator of disability services from 1999 to 2003. A viewing will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, at the Joseph W. Epler Funeral Home, 210 King St., Northumberland, where funeral services will begin at 1 p.m.

Nearly 290 students have petitioned to graduate following the Fall 2024 semester at Pennsylvania College of Technology. A commencement ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, at the Community Arts Center. The ceremony, which will be livestreamed, is open to students who are registered to participate and ticketed guests; 188 students are expected to march.
The Dunham Children’s Learning Center at Pennsylvania College of Technology received a $6,000 Keystone Stars Continuous Quality Improvement grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services through STEP Inc. Pennsylvania College of Technology's Esports program has won its first championship. The Overwatch 2 team captured the Fall 2024 National Association of Collegiate Esports Varsity+ championship, beating the University of North Carolina–Greensboro 3-1 in the final match and finishing with a 7-1 season.
Two Penn College employees were honored as nominees in Northcentral PA YWCA's 16th annual Women of Excellence Award Ceremony, held recently at the Community Arts Center in downtown Williamsport. Tanya Berfield, director of student advocacy and Title IX coordinator, and Angela L. Stackhouse, head coach of softball, were among 21 Women of Excellence nominees.
A chilly November evening didn’t deter fun-seekers and dedicated runners who turned out for the recent Wildcat Campus 5K Glow Walk/Run, supporting Penn College’s chapter of Alpha Chi National Honor Society. A total of 98 people registered, and $1,902 was raised to support academic excellence.
