The fun is in the run! The second annual Wildcat Campus 5K, supporting Penn College’s chapter of Alpha Chi National Honor Society, enjoys a warm-spirited turnout on a cold November night.

A chilly November evening didn’t deter fun-seekers and dedicated runners who turned out for the recent Wildcat Campus 5K Glow Walk/Run, supporting Penn College’s chapter of Alpha Chi National Honor Society.

"We loved seeing everyone from a wide variety of sports and majors coming together to support us,” said Matthew Lavallée Harris, president of Penn College’s Alpha Chi and a biomedical sciences student from Williamsport. “Everyone was glowing with enthusiasm and excitement to be the first to the finish line. It was a really fun night."

A total of 98 people registered, and $1,902 was raised to support academic excellence by offsetting new inductee fees for the national chapter. This was the second annual Wildcat Campus 5K organized by Alpha Chi.

“It was great seeing the community and people from the college get involved to help support a good cause through healthy activity,” said Alpha Chi vice president Marissa A. Rupert, a mechatronics student from Danville.

Trevor R. Mauk, a welding & fabrication engineering technology student from Pleasant Gap and Alpha Chi member, designed and created medals for the winners.
