Physician Assistant students at Pennsylvania College of Technology now have the opportunity to pursue a master's degree under a unique agreement with Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. A Penn College Physician Assistant student in good academic standing can apply for the master's program in the fall of his or her senior year.

Few in Hawaii even knew where Pennsylvania College of Technology is, and even fewer expected much out of a first-time entry from a far-from-home institution. But a four-man team of the College's Construction Management students placed second overall in therecent Associated Builders and Contractors Inc. national convention in Honolulu one pointshy of last year's returning champion.

Making bold predictions for his Penn College tennis team is nothing new for coach Charlie Baum. And he's at it again. A year ago, Baum forecast that two of his freshmen players (Theresa Burrill of Jersey Shore and Kristie Boyd of Parkland) would win conference and state women's singles and doubles championships. They did.

"Bookends," an exhibit of works by printmaker and book artist Gaylord Schanilec, will be presented April 2-30 at The Gallery at Penn College on the main campus of Pennsylvania College of Technology. Schanilec, an acknowledged master of centuries-old engraving and printing techniques, will present an artist's talk at 5:15 p.m. on April 6.

With new players joining as recently as Wednesday, the Pennsylvania College of Technology men's volleyball team has had little time to jell before its season opener Sunday. "They're a little rough. But without a doubt there's some talent there and hopefully I can whip them into shape and we can have a pretty good season," said Wes Strayer, who enters his first season as coach.

A special four-hour Hatha Yoga Asana Workshop taught by three area yoga instructors will be offered Saturday, April 17, at Pennsylvania College of Technology. Offered through Workforce Development & Continuing Education at Penn College, the workshop will be held from 8 a.m. to noon at Penn's Inn in the Bush Campus Center on the main campus in Williamsport.

Pennsylvania College of Technology's male and female compound archery teams closed out the indoor portion of their season in fine fashion with first-place finishes in the Eastern Regionals and second-place finishes at nationals.
