Fifth Annual Green Building Fair Set for April 5-6 at Penn College

Design and construction professionals, homeowners, students and others can receive helpful information about environmentally friendly products and services when the Fifth Annual Green Building Fair is presented April 5-6 at Pennsylvania College of Technology.
The event, which will feature continuous displays by vendors, workshops and lectures offered by experts, will be held at the Field House on the main campus in Williamsport from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, April 5, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, April 6. Admission is free, and the fair is open to the public.
Exhibitors will offer information and samples of products and services with a "green" orientation those that promote healthy, comfortable buildings and/or save money and are good for the environment. Attendees also will be able to speak with company representatives.
In addition, a full slate of presenters will offer free lectures that provide insights into building "green." Workshops and lectures requiring registration and fees also will be offered.
The free lectures/presentations on April 5 include: "High Efficiency Heating," Richard Taylor, 11 a.m. to noon; "What Is a Green Building?" Paul Zeigler, state Department of Environmental Protection, noon to 1p.m; "Building Green for Less," Zeigler, 2 to 3 p.m.; and "Green Building in a Community Context: Eco Village at Ithaca," Jon Harrod of Eco Village, Ithaca, N.Y., 3 to 4 p.m. The April 6 free presentations include: "Water for Life, Not Toilets!" Adam White, vice president, Bio-Sun Systems Inc., 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.; and "Homasote," 1 to 2 p.m.
