The Williamsport Hospital Campus of Susquehanna Health System is awarding Fall 2006 scholarships to 21 students at Pennsylvania College of Technology who were born at Williamsport Hospital. The hospital awards two full-tuition scholarships annually one to a female student and one to a male student enrolled in a School of Health Sciences major at Penn College.

The sixth annual NRM Golf Invitational, held July 12 at the White Deer Golf Course,raised about $5,000 to fund an endowed scholarship for Penn College's School of Natural Resources Management. Site-preparation work has been completed, and footers will be dug soon for construction of the Center for Business & Workforce Development on West Fourth Street. The general contractor for the project is Robert Feaster Corp., Northumberland. Construction is expected to continue through May 2007.
