Workforce Development & Continuing Education at Pennsylvania College of Technology, an Autodesk Authorized Training Center and Authorized Certification Center, is participating in this year's Certification Days. Autodesk is providing the opportunity to become certified for $25 (two exams of your choice, associate and/or professional) a cost savings of $175.

Tracy L. Brundage, assistant vice president for workforce and economic development at Pennsylvania College of Technology, has earned a doctorate from The Pennsylvania State University. Brundage was awarded a Ph.D. in workforce education with a major in training and human resource management on Dec. 17.

Nine students from Pennsylvania College of Technology's English as a Second Language program completed service-learning projects Dec. 2. The students were involved with The Academia and Messiah Lutheran Senior Center for five weeks on Friday mornings during the last half of the Fall 2011 semester.

One of the nation's top centers for plastics research, development and education related to injection molding, blow molding, extrusion, rotational molding and thermoforming, will change its name, effective in January. In an effort to expand its industry outreach, Pennsylvania College of Technology's Plastics Manufacturing Center will become the Plastics Innovation & Resource Center.
