Project Management, Finance Courses Offered at Penn College

For companies looking to sharpen their employees' skills in theoretical project management or basic finance, Workforce Development & Continuing Education at Pennsylvania College of Technology is offering two series of noncredit courses.
Classes will be held at the Center for Business & Workforce Development on the college's main campus in Williamsport. The courses are taught by qualified, experienced industry experts.
The Project Management Series consists of four courses: Introduction to Project Management, Getting Projects Started, Project Planning Tools, and Risk and Communication Management. Participants will explore the basic steps in the project-management process, discuss tools and techniques that are needed to get projects started, learn practical techniques that are essential for planning projects, and develop a collaborative, proactive method for dealing with risk issues and project communications.
The Finance Series also consists of four courses: Reviewing Financial Statements, Behind the Numbers, Better Makes You Best, and Better Data Analysis. Participants will explore basic financial statements; learn important measures used for evaluating any organization; discover the reasons behind, and the benefits of, continuous improvement; and discover the basic building blocks of continuous improvement.
Each of the workshops runs for three hours and will be offered on Feb. 20 and 27 and March 5 and 12.
