A team of students from Pennsylvania College of Technology won a recent district competition sponsored by the ISA, the international society for measurement and control. The students' winning performance at the competition, which was held at Research Triangle Park, N.C, enables them to participate in the international ISA event, which will be held Monday, Aug. 21, in New Orleans.
Five students from Pennsylvania College of Technology took first place in their categories at the state SkillsUSA-VICA competition, held April 12-14 in Lancaster. The five first-place finishers will advance to the national SkillsUSA Championships, a showcase for the best career and technical students in the nation. The championships will be held June 29 in Kansas City, Mo.
Pennsylvania College of Technology's senior Legal Assistant Studies students will host their own series of legal seminars on May 4 and May 8. The programs, which are free and open to the public, are part of the bachelor's-degree requirement for the students in this "capstone" course.

Responding to a need for more College-owned-and-operated student housing, Pennsylvania College of Technology has agreed to purchase College West Apartments from HFL Corp. of State College. The sale, which should become final on or before June 7, will increase the number of beds in Penn College's student-housing program to over 1,000.
Pennsylvania College of Technology students and alumni will be able to meet with recruiters from nearly 100 prospective employers over two days at Career Expos scheduled for Tuesday, March 14, and Thursday, March 16. The March 14 event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Earth Science Center, 12 miles south of the main campus on Route 15 near Allenwood.
