More than 730 Pennsylvania College of Technology students have petitioned to graduate in two commencement ceremonies to be held Saturday, May 18, at the Community Arts Center in Williamsport. A 10 a.m. ceremony will be held for students in the Schools of Construction and Design Technologies, Integrated Studies, Natural Resources Management, and Transportation Technology. A 2:30 p.m.

Eleven Pennsylvania College of Technology students took first place in their competitions at the Pennsylvania SkillsUSA-VICA Conference, held April 17-19 in Altoona. The winners now are eligible to compete at the SkillsUSA Championships - a showcase for the best career and technical students in the nation June 27 in Kansas City, Mo.

Forest Technology students from Pennsylvania College of Technology's School of Natural Resources Management finished fourth overall and took first place in several competitions at the Mid Atlantic States Intercollegiate Woodsmen's Meet held recently in North Carolina.
A paper bridge designed by two Pennsylvania College of Technology students carried a load 579 times its weight, setting a record recently in winning the strongest-bridge category in the 11th annual "Bridging the Gap" competition at the College. In the competition, students designed and built bridges made entirely from construction paper and glue.
Pennsylvania College of Technology student Matthew A. Greger was named "National Communications Coordinator of the Year" recently at the Central Atlantic Affiliate of College and University Residence Halls regional conference at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland.
