A Pennsylvania College of Technology student has been awarded a $5,000 scholarship from the Instrumentation, Systems, and Automation Society. Chad E. Wagner, RR 1 Tionesta, plans to graduate in 2005 with a bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering Technology.
Thirteen students in Pennsylvania College of Technology's School of Natural Resources Management each have been awarded $1,000 scholarships from the Caterpillar Excellence Fund for the Fall 2004 semester. Scholarship recipients are: Diesel Technology Nathaniel C. Aldinger, Laporte; Stephen C. Barats, RR 3 Canton; and Andrew E. Murrow, York.
A student in Pennsylvania College of Technology's Electric Power Generation Technology major placed second at the 40th annual SkillsUSA-VICA National Leadership Conference held June 22-25 in Kansas City, Mo. Matthew R. Smith of Hampstead, Md. one of nine Penn College students in the national competition brought home a silver medal in the Diesel Equipment Technology category.
Charlene Ebner, a senior in Pennsylvania College of Technology's Applied Human Services bachelor-degree major, was chosen from among applicants in several states recently to receive a $500 Howard Harris Fund Scholarship. Ebner, DuBoistown, was chosen during the Middle Atlantic Consortium of Human Services' spring conference. She is one of two recipients from within the Middle-Atlantic region.
The Keystone Kiln-Drying Association, a professional organization made up of kiln operators, mill owners and tradespeople who have an interest in the lumber-drying industry, will offer a $500 scholarship this fall to a Pennsylvania College of Technology student. The scholarship will be given to a student who demonstrates financial need and academic quality.

Members of Pennsylvania College of Technology's Phi Beta Lambda chapter excelled in competition at PBL's annual State Leadership Conference, held recently in Williamsport. PBL is the postsecondary division of the Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda Inc., a national nonprofit educational association of students preparing for careers in business or related fields.
A Bradford County teenager is the third recipient of a scholarship established at Pennsylvania College of Technology to honor the memory of the late wife of state Sen. Roger A. Madigan, a member of the College's Board of Directors. Jesse H. Holdren of Ulster, a senior at Athens Area High School, was selected to receive the Peggy Madigan Memorial Leadership Scholarship for 2004.
The Franklin County Builders Association will begin awarding scholarships to Pennsylvania College of Technology students in Fall 2004.
