Members of Pennsylvania College of Technology's Phi Beta Lambda chapter excelled in competition at PBL's annual State Leadership Conference, held recently in Williamsport.
PBL is the postsecondary division of the Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda Inc., a national nonprofit educational association of students preparing for careers in business or related fields.
Penn College students placing first in their competition categories are: Randy A. Klein, Plymouth Meeting, Computer Concepts; Clinton M. Cullison, Harrisburg, Economics; Philip A. Erb, Williamsport, and Anthony T. Eisenhour, Middletown, Web-Site Development; and Billie J. Conrad, Millerstown RR 2, and Alexander Kantor, Harrisburg, Business Plan.
Second-place winners from the College chapter are: Mary K. Keiffer, Grantville, Impromptu Speaking; and Robert E. Dimmick, Danville, International Business. Angela D. Rymer, Jersey Shore, placed third in Marketing. Two winners also were elected to state office: Kantor was chosen as president and Erb as reporter for Pennsylvania Phi Beta Lambda. Eight members will participate in the PBL National Leadership Conference in July in Denver.
"We have an excellent leadership team for the state of Pennsylvania," said Dr. Dennis R. Williams, associate professor of business administration and chapter adviser. "They are planning a recruitment drive for the state, which includes activation of new chapters at other colleges and reactivation of chapters that, for whatever reason, dropped out."
