Two Pennsylvania College of Technology faculty have co-authored a peer-reviewed article for the World History Bulletin, a publication of the World History Association. Craig A. Miller, professor of history/political science and department head of social sciences and humanities, and Jennifer R. Wahl, instructor of social sciences, have published “History from the ‘Other’ Side: Approaches to Learning and Teaching the Past From Neglected and Marginalized Voices” in the latest issue of the journal.

The U.S. Department of Education has awarded Pennsylvania College of Technology a Title III Strengthening Institutions Program Grant to implement a redesign of its math curricula that is poised to become a national model for best practices. For the first year of the five-year project, Penn College has received $416,236. Over the course of the project period, extending through the 2027-28 academic year, the grant will award the college $2,140,307, which is 100% of the total cost of the initiative.

Blending history and modernity, a class of Pennsylvania College of Technology students has pitched in to assist a local historical museum in launching its new digital app that gives visitors an innovative way to engage with exhibits and essentially opens the museum doors for online exploration by anyone across the globe.

The second annual Wildcat Rotorfest, held recently at Pennsylvania College of Technology by the emergency management & homeland security major, doubled in attendance and participants. The interactive career exploration day was attended by nearly 500 K-12 students from 23 schools across the state.

The Penn College Business Club – with support from the Event Management & Coordination class – hosted Coffee & Conversation, an event that joined students, primarily in business and hospitality majors, with 40 employers offering potential summer internships or long-term employment. The affair featured a campus tour, Q&A session, information tables, a mixer and an etiquette dinner.

Just as fascinating as this unique career field are Will’s background and range of experiences, which have honed his adaptability and flexibility.

Artwork created by Gerald G. Kaplan, instructor of ceramics at Pennsylvania College of Technology, is on display through April 27 in a national juried exhibition at the Saratoga Clay Arts Center’s Schacht Gallery in Schuylerville, New York.

On March 19, a group of Pennsylvania College of Technology students will host the first Wildcat Forum, a series of six-to-eight-minute talks sharing the theme “What is Success?” The event is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. in the Klump Academic Center Auditorium and is open to the community. Three Penn College alumni and two employees are slated to speak.

Pennsylvania College of Technology graphic design alumni captured nine awards in AIGA Baltimore’s 2023 nationwide Flux Student Design Competition. The seven alumni who were honored created their designs during their senior year and graduated in 2023.
