For the third time, Monica J. Lanczak, instructor of food and hospitality management/culinary arts at Pennsylvania College of Technology, will be honored in "Who's Who Among America's Teachers." Lanczak's biography will appear in the ninth edition of the book, to be published in October. It also appeared in the 2002 and 2004 editions.
Information Technology Services is implementing GroupWise space limits on all employee e-mail accounts. Initially, all accounts have been set up with a large 4000MB limit. During this time, ITS asks that you begin a cleanup of your e-mail account. To reduce the size of your mailbox, delete unnecessary items, paying close attention to your Sent Items and Trash folders.
Kimberly L. Bolig, director of Academic Support Services and Act 101, and Henriette K. Evans, Act 101 specialist, presented a workshop entitled "Commitment to Student Success and Retention Through the Creation of Learning Communities in Summer Bridge Programs" at the Tri-State Consortium of Opportunity Programs biannual conference in Philadelphia during March.
A reception was held in the Professional Development Center on Tuesday to honor faculty and staff who participated in Residence Life programming this year. A total of 48 faculty and staff members volunteered their time this past year to share a piece of themselves with students, according to Timothy J. Mallery, director of residence life.
Henriette K. Evans, Act 101 academic and career specialist in Academic Support Services, was named2004-05 "Woman of the Year" by the Junior League of Williamsport on Monday. She received the award in recognition of her outstanding service to the Junior League and its volunteer endeavors.

A chapter written by Mark D. Noe, professor of English and composition at Pennsylvania College of Technology, was published in a book of essays in January. The book, "Essays on the Literature of American Novelist John P. Marquand (1893-1960)" was edited by Robert O. Whipple Jr. Noe's contribution to the book was an essay titled "No Outlets: Women's Roles in John P.
Hortencia I. Garcia, assistant professor of mathematics at Pennsylvania College of Technology, presented a paper at the 29th annual conference of the National Association for Developmental Education (NADE), held March 9-13 in Albuquerque, N.M.
