Joanna K. Flynn has been named dean of curriculum and instruction at Pennsylvania College of Technology. Flynn, who most recently served as associate professor of mathematics, has been employed at the college since 2003. Cathryn Addy, founding director of the college’s North Campus in Wellsboro, has been chosen as interim president of Great Bay Community College in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Addy was hired for the Wellsboro position in March 1983, shortly after Williamsport Area Community College (forerunner to Penn College) began offering practical nursing classes at the Tioga County site.
The latest "Bases Loaded" sculpture, a left fielder to be installed near Penn College's main entrance, will be unveiled in a public ceremony at 11:30 a.m. Friday. "Bases Loaded" is a privately funded project featuring individual statues commemorating the history of Little League.
