A cornerstone marks Penn College's role in a collaboratively crafted community landmark. Among the latest additions to the Pennsylvania College of Technology community are new full-time faculty members for the Fall 2019 semester, as provided by the Human Resources Office (all effective Aug. 15).

Philip G. Berry has been appointed coordinator of matriculation and academic operations for the School of Construction & Design Technologies at Pennsylvania College of Technology. Berry previously served as an external records evaluator in the Registrar’s Office at the institution and brings a wealth of matriculation experience to his new role.

Graffiti photography, industrial sculpture, multimedia folklore and vintage comics are among the engaging lineup of artistic adventures offered by The Gallery at Penn College’s 2019-20 season.

Nine students from Pennsylvania College of Technology’s SkillsUSA team earned medals in six categories – three silvers and three bronzes – during the National Leadership and Skills Conference in Louisville, Kentucky, from June 24-29. “The students represented themselves and the college well, and it showed with the number of medals we returned home with,” said SkillsUSA adviser James N.

A building construction technology major at Pennsylvania College of Technology has received an Outstanding Student Award from the Pennsylvania Builders Association’s Endorsed Trade Program. David J. A uniquely collaborative learning experience at Pennsylvania College of Technology, dubbed the “Soccer Ball Experiment,” helped civil engineering technology and surveying technology students and members of the Wildcat women’s soccer team acquire useful professional tools during the spring semester.

A dozen residential Pre-College Programs and a daytime Creative Art Camp brought hundreds of young women and men to Penn College's campuses in mid-June, providing hands-on entry to the myriad career opportunities reflected in the institution's postsecondary curriculum.

Pennsylvania College of Technology students received two of the three Women in Energy Mentorship Awards presented this month at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center. Celeste G. Moquin, of Port Matilda, enrolled in on-site power generation, and Autumn N. Schreiber, of St. Marys, majoring in heating, ventilation and air conditioning technology, were honored at a May 19 dinner.

College employees rallied to provide nearly 40 educational sessions for middle schoolers from across the region who visited campus on Monday for the college’s twice-a-year Career Day. Facilitated by the college’s College Transitions Office, the event provided 1,267 students with opportunities to explore a wide variety of careers in each of the college’s six academic schools.
