Pennsylvania Builders Association honors Penn College student

A building construction technology major at Pennsylvania College of Technology has received an Outstanding Student Award from the Pennsylvania Builders Association’s Endorsed Trade Program.
David J. Foreman, of Duncansville, was nominated for the honor by instructors Barney A. Kahn IV and Levon A. Whitmyer.
The Outstanding Student Award is presented to students across Pennsylvania in recognition of their outstanding commitment to the trade. Students who carry a qualifying GPA, who are members of a student chapter of the National Association of Home Builders and who are from schools enrolled in the Endorsed Trade Program are eligible.
“I am humbled by receiving this award, but I have to credit also my teachers and classmates for winning this,” Foreman said. “My education also comes from them, being right there every step of the way. I think we have a bright future ahead of us, and we need more people in the trades, which is another reason that this recognition is so important to me.”
The Endorsed Trade Program was developed by the PBA in collaboration with educators, local builder associations and others to give technical school graduates more credibility in the job market – as well as to provide builders with a highly skilled workforce.
