Playing all of their games in North Eastern Athletic Conference action last week, the Pennsylvania College of Technology men’s and women’s basketball teams went a combined 0-4. The regular season concludes this week as each team plays four games, with their finales on Saturday at Bardo Gymnasium. Wildcat wrestlers also close out their season Saturday, at Muhlenberg College.
The Pennsylvania College of Technology wrestling team was the lone winner last week in action among the college’s winter sports teams, which also saw the archers step into action. For the week completed on Saturday, Pennsylvania College of Technology men’s and women’s basketball teams went winless, all in North Eastern Athletic Conference games, while the college’s wrestling team was idle. Pennsylvania College of Technology men’s and women’s basketball and wrestling teams step back into action this week after the semester break and the coaches of all three teams are looking forward to it. Men’s Basketball First-year coach Ryan Callahan’s team is off to a 2-0 start in the North Eastern Athletic Conference, 2-6 overall, and resumes play at 5 p.m.
Seventeen Pennsylvania College of Technology athletes were awarded "Athlete of the Week" honors during the fall semester. They are: Sept. 20-Oct. 4 – Ben Leibig, of Lebanon, men’s tennis/Robyn Beddow, of Lancaster, women’s soccer. Sept. 28-Oct. 12 – Sophie Coldsmith, of Gettysburg, women’s volleyball/Hunter Gosnell, of Westminster, Maryland, men’s soccer. Oct.
In their final outings of the fall semester, the Pennsylvania College of Technology wrestling team split in two matches while the men’s basketball team dropped its only game. Wrestling On Dec. 13, Penn College lost to Ursinus, 43-6, before defeating SUNY Sullivan, 42-10, to go to 2-4 on the season.
