Pennsylvania College of Technology has received an "Excellence in Training" award from the Air Conditioning Contractors of America the nation's largest trade association for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration contracting businesses marking the first time an educational institution was singled out for the honor.
Joshua M. Yost, in his final year as a Collision Repair Technology major, has been selected by the Student Government Association as March's "Student of the Month" at Pennsylvania College of Technology. Yost, from Cochranton, received six nominations all from supportive faculty in the School of Transportation Technology for his campus leadership and support of fellow students.
Girls in seventh and eighth grades will spend Saturday, April 2, at Pennsylvania College of Technology, where they will learn through hands-on activities the importance of science and mathematics during the College's next session of Science and Math Applications in Real-World Technologies for Girls (SMART Girls).

Earlier this month, the Collision Repair Department of Penn College's School of Transportation Technology hosted the 2005 I-CAR (Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair) Northeast Regional Meeting. The northeast region is comprised of Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, New Hampshire, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont and West Virginia.
There is no missing the progress being made in the construction of Pennsylvania College of Technology's Roger and Peggy Madigan Library. There also has been great progress in the campaign to raise employee contributions to support this important addition to the Penn College campus.
Dr. Clifford P. Coppersmith, assistant dean of integrated studies at Pennsylvania College of Technology, will be honored in the ninth edition of "Who's Who Among America's Teachers." Teachers whose biographies appear in the book have been nominated by a former student.
