There is no missing the progress being made in the construction of Pennsylvania College of Technology's Roger and Peggy Madigan Library. There also has been great progress in the campaign to raise employee contributions to support this important addition to the Penn College campus.
Since the start of the year, 77 College employees have donated or pledged a total of $134,660 to the Library Campaign. All of those funds, and all future gifts to the Library Campaign, will help Penn College complete this project while maintaining our commitment to keeping tuition increases to a minimum, keeping programs at the leading-edge of education and continuing our tradition of providing "degrees that work."
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is providing $7 million for this project. The total cost will be approximately $14 million, and we need your help to meet that cost. Pledge/gift forms for the Library Campaign were distributed to employees in January. While your participation is voluntary, we hope you will consider making a gift to this project. You can pledge your gift over a period of up to five years. If you need a new form, please contact the Office of Institutional Advancement at ext. 7316, or by e-mail . You also can make a gift online.
"Legacy" or naming opportunities are a great way to honor or memorialize someone special to you or your family, and are available in the Madigan Library with a pledge or gift of at least $250. If you would like more information, or you would like to discuss a naming opportunity, please call Barry Stiger, Debbie Miller or Joann Kay in the Office of Institutional Advancement.
In a presentation to the Penn College Board of Directors, College President Dr. Davie Jane Gilmour noted students attending Fall 2004 Orientation marveled at the prospect of being able to see the library open. Please consider a generous gift to the Roger and Peggy Madigan Library Campaign to further show your support of those students, and of the mission and goals of Pennsylvania College of Technology.
